Tour Plan

Day 1 Welcome to Perth

  • You've got a thrilling two-week journey ahead, starting with a lively exploration of Perth. This Western Australian gem gives Melbourne a run for its money in the street art department, boasting vibrant murals and installations adorning alleys and warehouses. The city is surprisingly lush, thanks to the expansive 400-hectare Kings Park and Botanic Garden nestled in the CBD, overlooking the meandering Swan River. With two-thirds of the park dedicated to native plants, it's a green oasis. Get ready to bond with your fellow travelers during the Welcome Dinner—you'll surely know everyone well by the end of it!
  • Hotel: Crowne Plaza Perth
  • Included Meals: Dinner with Wine

Day 2 Perth - Geraldton

  • Head north to Yanchep National Park for a unique MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience led by Noongar man Derek Nannup. Engage in hands-on exploration of Dreamtime stories that reveal the creation of the land. Derek's tours offer bush tucker tastings and the opportunity to try playing the didgeridoo. The day reaches new heights at Nambung National Park, where the Pinnacles form a surreal moonscape with natural limestone structures piercing the sky. Continue to Geraldton and pay tribute to WWII sailors lost off the WA coast at the HMAS Sydney Memorial.
  • Hotel: Mantra Geraldton
    Included Meals: Breakfast

Day 3 Geraldton - Monkey Mia

  • While stromatolites might sound like something belonging in a cave, these ‘living fossils’ grow in the water at Hamelin Pool. Rock-like in appearance, they’re actually alive, and reveal what life might have been like 3.5-billion years ago. Remarkably, this is the world’s most abundant colony of them. It’s just one of the natural allures of the state’s World Heritage listed Shark Bay, which is also characterised by Shell Beach, formed from billions of coquina bivalve shells, and fabled Monkey Mia.
  • Hotel: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort
Included Meals: Dinner with Wine, Breakfast

Day 4 Monkey Mia Free Time

  • Monkey Mia cranks up the wow factor with its dazzling turquoise waters, soft white sands, and golden dunes. The star attractions? The wild dolphins that make a daily splash with morning visits to the shore, creating a unique human-dolphin mingling experience. As you ponder how to spend your afternoon, consider an optional sunset cruise or gain a new perspective with an optional scenic flight over the bay. The choice is yours for a memorable day in Monkey Mia.
  • Hotel: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort
    Included Meals: Breakfast

Day 5 Monkey Mia - Carnarvon

  • Your next stop is the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum, where you'll discover its involvement in the historic 1969 moon landing. Your guide, brimming with enthusiasm, will share intriguing details. The visit is hands-on, allowing aspiring astronauts to don space suits and take a spin in a spacecraft simulator.
  • Hotel: Best Western Hospitality Inn Carnarvon
Included Meals: Dinner with Wine, Breakfast

Day 6 Carnarvon - Exmouth

  • You can marvel at the beauty of Ningaloo Reef without diving in. Opt for a Coral Bay glass-bottom boat tour to get up close to turtles, vibrant coral, and an abundance of fish. The World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Coast, known for its migratory marine life like whale sharks and humpbacks, is a highlight. Your on-board naturalist will help you take in the breathtaking sights. Wrap up the day by appreciating the coastline's contours from Vlamingh Head Lighthouse before settling into your luxurious Exmouth hotel.
  • Hotel: Mantarays Ningaloo Beach Resort
Included Meals: Dinner with Wine, Breakfast

Day 7 Exmouth Free Time

  • Steel yourself for a few ‘pinch-me’ moments today. Opt to snorkel (with an ethical operator) over Ningaloo Reef. Time of year pending, you may have whale sharks and possibly humpback whales in your company. Nothing quite prepares you for the initial moment you glimpse these gentle giants up close. Or spend your day strolling the sand and cruising with dolphins at sunset. The choice is yours.
  • Hotel: Mantarays Ningaloo Beach Resort

Day 8 Exmouth - Karijini National Park

  • Embarking on a remarkable journey from Exmouth to the heart of Karijini in the Pilbara region is an epic adventure. The destination, Karijini National Park, is a captivating experience that can make you fall in love at first sight. It's a place where nature's grandeur is magnified, featuring vast gorges, profound chasms, enchanting waterfalls, and crystalline rock pools. Nestled in the red expanse of the Hamersley Range, this location not only entices nature enthusiasts with its terrestrial wonders but also introduces them to the unique creatures inhabiting the towering cliffs. With the nearest town hundreds of kilometers away, be prepared for breathtaking stargazing opportunities right from your safari tent.

Day 9 Karijini National Park

  • It took billions of years to create the geological wonders of Karijini: the striking red escarpments and the quiet gorges all enveloped by tall gums. You have a single day to explore, so bring your stamina and sense of adventure. You’re heading deep into the national park, discovering hidden nooks and waterholes just begging you to swim in them.
  • Hotel: Karijini Eco Retreat
  • Included Meals: Dinner with Wine, Breakfast

Day 10 Karijini National Park - Port Hedland

  • Upon your initial encounter with the Pilbara, it might seem as though you've stepped onto the Martian surface. The soil is intensely red, the skies remarkably expansive, and the rock formations incredibly striking, with mineral deposits creating vivid streaks across much of the landscape. Human presence is sparse until you reach the town of Port Hedland. Your hotel dinner offers ample opportunities to mingle with interesting local personalities.

Alternatively, you might choose to visit a pearl farm, gaining insight into the meticulous process of cultivating and harvesting these precious gems.
